about sparcs
sparcs was established in 2012 to develop and sustain existing activities which were in great demand but in danger of being lost due to reorganisation of groups within the local area of the Gorbals.
sparcs encompassed two main strands of work.
One being the childrens clubs in the Gorbals and Toryglen. The other main strand of work was the Cook Safe Healthy Cooking programme carried out in partnership with Scottish Fire and Rescue.
Both of these pieces of work have been developed with years of experience and support from partner agencies and the local communities where they operate.
In their different ways they aim to achieve the same goal of a safer, healthier and better community experience for those who participate in the various activities and the wider communities they live in.
